We proudly present our first success in the USA. The Columbia Crest Winery achieved 96 points with its wine form the 2016 vintage, aged in our 500 L
Punchon barrels. For their request we produce barrels with a special process year after year, meant excusively for their wine named ’Borne of Fire’. This is how our barrels were described at the competition:
Vinification
– Large format, lightly toasted Hungarian oak barrels were used to add textural experience to the wine without masking the unique, natural flavors of the grapes.
– Grapes were fermented on the stems to not only integrate the terroir of the Burn into the wine, but to also add texture and complexity.
– The resukt is a wine that perfectly bridges the gap of old world elegance with new world fruit character.
